TERA: Delayed Into 2012

TERA: Fast-action fantasy MMO TERA has been pushed into Spring 2012 according to publisher En Masse Entertainment. The game was originally expected to launch within the next month or three but apparently the developers, Bluehole Studios, wish to apply another sturdy coat of polish before release. Disappointing – but almost always a wise decision.

Read the official details from TERA’s North American producer Chris “Chager” Hager – “early 2012? Beta news is also on tap. Actually, there isn’t word of a “delay” from the devs. They seem to imply this launch timing was the plan all along.

Here we see the devs polishing up a typical mob
“Later this year we will begin our alpha testing. For those who aren’t yet familiar with this term, alpha testing is essentially small-scale testing with people outside the company, with the goal of collecting feedback on specific game features. An alpha test has the added benefit of allowing our internal teams to practice running a game in a “live” environment, so when the beta phase starts in early 2012, TERA will be operating like a well-oiled machine.”
