Karma Online Weapons Revealed By Joymax

Joymax, a leading online game developer and publisher, today unveiled some of the weapons its highly-anticipated online first-person shooter, Karma Online:Prisoners of the Dead, will feature when the game enters closed beta this summer. To read more about the weapons, and get more info about the game, players can visit the new teaser website at http://www.joymax.com/karma/

"Karma Online: Prisoners of the Dead is packed with World War II and zombie action, so it's only fitting that we offer players a large variety of weapons providing almost endless combat possibilities," said Danny Kim, Project Manager for Karma Online: Prisoners of the Dead. "We will start gamers off with some of the more historic weapons during the closed beta of the game, giving them time to get used to the weapons, and then introduce them to some of the more contemporary weaponry. We really want to make sure that our players continuously get the opportunity to utilize each weapon and appreciate each of the different attributes they have to offer.

"Some of the weapons available when the game enters closed beta will include the FG42, an automatic rifle designed so soldiers could get on a narrow plane while still wearing it and the Kar98k, the most common military rifle, with a better range and power than the traditional M16. Other weapons players can use include the Degtyarev, a 7-round light machinegun with a magazine shaped like a pan mounted on top, and the Panzerfaust, a portable anti-tank rocket launcher. While many historically accurate WWII weapons will be available during the upcoming closed beta, Karma Online players will eventually experience both historic weapons as well as more modern and contemporary weaponry as Joymax regularly introduces new weapons leading up to the game's launch.

For a limited time, players who register with the Joymax portal at http://www.joymax.com/portal/ between now and May 31st will receive a weapons bonus during the Closed Beta Testing phase--a Golden VT40 Bayonet--a knife that will slice even the most difficult and hard-to-kill enemy.

Developed in conjunction with Dragonfly, and published by Joymax, KARMA Online: Prisoners of the Dead is the newest installment in the KARMA Online series, the top online first-person shooter series in Korea.

Players go back in time to World War II, where they must choose to side with the Axis or Allied powers and join the fight for global victory - with a zombie twist. In this virtual and historical simulation, players will be up against enemy troops as well as hundreds of the walking dead from the remains of the catastrophic battle.
